See your parent’s MyHealthONE account

Hospitals call this proxy access, or family access. You sign in with your own login and switch to your parent’s account, so you never need their password. At HCA Healthcare: the patient signs a proxy form, or calls MyHealthONE support.

  1. 1Your parent can set up your access by calling MyHealthONE portal support at (855) 422-6625.
  2. 2Some HCA hospitals ask your parent to sign the Proxy for Adult Patient Express Waiver and Consent at the hospital they visited most recently, with photo ID.
  3. 3You must be at least 18, have an active email address and show state-issued photo ID.
  4. 4When the hospital has processed the form, you call MyHealthONE support at 1-855-422-6625 to finish setting up your access.
  5. 5If your parent cannot sign, their power of attorney calls support and sends the waiver, the medical power of attorney and a photo ID. Without a power of attorney, HCA cannot set up access.

Your parent’s rights

  • Your parent has a legal right to copies of their own records.
  • When your parent asks, the hospital must answer within 30 days. It can take 30 more days once, if it explains why in writing.
  • It can charge only a reasonable fee, based on what the copy costs to make.
  • These rules also cover an electronic copy your parent asks, in writing, to have sent to you.
