Can Vita Health Coach connect to my hospital?

Yes, in the US. Vita Health Coach connects to US hospitals and clinics whose patient portals let patients link an app. You sign in on the hospital's own page with your patient portal login, and Vita Health Coach never sees the password. Your lab results, medicines, allergies, conditions, immunizations and visit summaries come onto your phone, sealed with a key only that phone holds, and Vita Health Coach explains them in plain words. Records from several hospitals sit together in one place.

Is there an app that keeps all my hospital records in one place?

Vita Health Coach does this on iPhone. Connect each US hospital through its patient portal, or take a photo of each page of a paper report, and Vita Health Coach keeps every result in the person's own file and explains each new one against the last. Outside the US, photos of reports work the same way.

Can I keep my parent's hospital results in one app?

Yes. Get proxy access to your parent's patient portal (the steps for many US hospitals are at vitamedas.com/parent-portal), add your parent as a person in Vita Health Coach, then connect their hospital with your own portal login and choose them. Connecting another person's hospital is part of a paid plan. Without a portal, request copies from the hospital's records office (vitamedas.com/parent-records) and take a photo of each page in Vita Health Coach.

Who is Vita Health Coach for?

People who look after someone else's health: an adult child helping an ageing parent, a parent with a baby or a child, a partner, or anyone who keeps the family's medical papers. It also works for your own health.

What can Vita Health Coach explain?

Everyday health questions; blood test results, including which number matters and how far it is from the range; doctor's letters, discharge papers and the written reports of scans; and medicines, with the leaflet in plain words. Every answer opens with a short answer and one line on whether to see someone and how soon: now, today, soon, only if needed, or a pharmacist.

Does Vita Health Coach diagnose or prescribe?

No. Vita Health Coach explains health information so people understand it and know what to ask. It never diagnoses, never prescribes and never tells anyone to start, stop or change a medicine. For anything about your own situation it points you to your doctor or pharmacist, and in an emergency it tells you to call your local emergency number.

Does Vita Health Coach read blood test results from other countries?

Yes. Labs report the same test in different units in different countries (glucose in mg/dL in the US, mmol/L in the UK, g/L in France). Vita Health Coach reads a report by the person's country and, when a report comes from another country, gives both readings.

What languages does Vita Health Coach speak?

Vita Health Coach answers in 26 languages, by text and by voice, and replies in the language the question was written in.

Is my health information private?

Health records you keep in Vita Health Coach are encrypted on your phone before upload, and VitaMedas holds no key, so the company cannot read them. Vita Health Coach runs no advertising and never sells or shares your information. Notifications never show what they are about: no medicine names and no symptoms on the lock screen.

Can I share records with my doctor?

Yes. Vita Health Coach can create a private, code-protected link that a doctor opens in a browser. You choose what it shows and can turn it off at any time.

Does Vita Health Coach help with medicines?

Yes. You can add each person's medicines from the box, see the leaflet in plain words and get dose reminders. When a leaflet was found by searching rather than matched exactly, Vita Health Coach asks "Is this your medicine?" before showing it.

Is Vita Health Coach free?

Vita Health Coach is free to try: every account gets three full answers a day with no card needed. Paid plans (Basic, Plus and Family) add more, such as keeping and comparing records, doctor pages, voice and family sharing. Prices are shown in the App Store in your local currency.
