See your parent’s MyGeisinger account

Hospitals call this proxy access, or family access. You sign in with your own login and switch to your parent’s account, so you never need their password. At Geisinger: the patient signs a caregiver form, or a power of attorney sends legal papers.

  1. 1Print Geisinger's caregiver form. Your parent signs it to give you access.
  2. 2If you are your parent's power of attorney, use Geisinger's power of attorney form instead and send the legal papers with it.
  3. 3If you already have a MyGeisinger account, you can log in and request family record access. If you don't have one, Geisinger creates one for you.
  4. 4Send the form as it says. Geisinger answers within 5 to 7 business days.
  5. 5Your parent can later change or remove your access under Share My Record, then Friends and Family Access.
