See your parent’s Banner Health account account

Hospitals call this proxy access, or family access. You sign in with your own login and switch to your parent’s account, so you never need their password. At Banner: the patient invites you from their own account.

  1. 1If your parent makes their own health decisions, they log in to their Banner Health account, go to Manage family profiles, choose Add member and enter your details.
  2. 2You accept the invitation: log in to or create your own Banner Health account and answer security questions about your parent.
  3. 3If your parent cannot make their own medical decisions, a legal guardian or other authorized person logs in, goes to Manage family profiles and chooses Adult who is incapable of making medical decisions. Banner staff review papers such as a medical power of attorney, and answer within 1 to 3 business days.
  4. 4Access stays in place until your parent removes it.
