VITA wins the Global Grand Prize in the Google AI Agents Challenge

Google for Startups named VITA the Global Grand Prize winner of the 2026 Google AI Agents Challenge. VITA is the health memory for families caring for a parent.

San Francisco. VITA won the Global Grand Prize of the Google AI Agents Challenge, run by Google for Startups. Google announced the result on 8 July 2026 and named VITA's entry, Vita Care, the Global Grand Prize winner.

Google described the winning project as solving fragmented health care coordination: each family member's AI assistant talks directly to the others, so a family can manage a parent's care together.

Patients forget up to 80% of what their doctor tells them, so in every family one person has to remember for them: every result, every medicine, every visit. VITA is built for that person. She takes a photo of any lab result, report or letter, from any clinic and in any of 26 languages, and asks anything. VITA answers in plain words, knowing that person's age, medicines and earlier results. It shows what changed since the last test and what to ask the doctor, and gives the doctor the whole history in one secure link.

Every answer follows medical rules and sources set by two doctors. VITA gives general health information. It does not diagnose.

As a winner, VITA was invited to the Google for Startups showcase during SF Tech Week in October 2026.

“When my father had cancer, I was the keeper of his files: every scan, every result, every visit. I had no way to understand it all, or to remember it, and I wish I had VITA then.”

“I know that helplessness. I am building VITA so no family feels it again.”

Tahsin Bayraktar, Founder and CEO, VitaMedas

VITA is live on the App Store, with a free plan and paid plans from $9.99 a month. VitaMedas is part of AltaLab Fall 2026, the founder program of AltaIR Capital.
